Once they realised how little was needed to start learning to do embroidery and sewing, members from the community were quick to sign up to get started immediately.

In a world where there is barely any work, new clothes are an unaffordable luxury and looking after what you have is important.

A needle, thread and something to repair is all that is needed to start learning to learn basic sewing. The volunteer students are more than willing to gather under a tree in the bush to learn a new skill that luckily doesn’t need expensive equipment and materials.

They look forward to when they have a classroom and can learn to use sewing machines.
