Because the community will be developing the training centre under practical training, it makes sense to provide the types of training that will be useful to help them achieve those goals as they progress.

Members of the community have shown interest in carpentry and woodwork, metalwork and welding, plumbing and pipe-fitting, electrical installation, automotive and mechanics training. The younger adults showed interest in computer and information technology related training which will be available once we have equipped a computer centre for them.

Most of the training that the community is interested in are skills which are not readily available in the area. Training would give them the chance to start up small businesses which could also create job opportunities for other members in the community.
With access to training in rural areas, members from the community are less inclined to move away from home to try to make a living. Skills training gives them the chance to improve things themselves and to create a micro economy without them having to wait for government to do something because of a lack of knowledge.

We have collected some equipment & machines with which to equip various workshops and classes as they are completed.
